There are five church primary schools within the parish.

Holy Trinity church has one voluntary aided school: Holy Trinity Church of England school.
St James church has two voluntary controlled schools : Hurst Knoll (St James) Church of England school and St James Church of England school.
St Michael’s church has one voluntary controlled school: Parochial Church of England School.
St Peter’s church has one voluntary aided school: St Peter’s Church of England School.

Parochial school is a Voluntary Controlled School. The clergy take weekly assemblies in the school and the school comes to St Michael’s church for four services each year.
