Holy Trinity Community Centre

The church building has been reordered to create a community centre in the rear of the building. Over the years, this has been home to a number of different community groups but since March 2008 St Peter’s Youth (SPY) have provided day to day management in the community centre and work in partnership with the church council to ensure the needs of the local community are met. A range of youth activities are organised by SPY please see attached core provision as well as baby clinics, ESOL classes, sewing classes, luncheon clubs for elderly men and women and a venue for social events and celebrations.

In the March 2009 it was agreed to do a feasibility study on future arrangements for the whole church building - so as to meet the increasing needs of the local community. This is a time of great change and there is a need for sensitivity and consultation with the existing user groups, church and partner organisations. This will need to be managed in a way that gives everyone a voice and a say in what happens in the future.
