Children and Young People

The nurture of children and young people within the Christian faith is an important value in our parish. This includes the provision of Sunday Schools on Sunday mornings and a parish-wide Youth Group on Sunday evenings. Details about Sunday Schools are given in the individual church sections of this website.

St James church runs a special fortnightly service on Sunday afternoons for families. This is an informal worship event for children, young people and their parents or carers. For more details, look at the St James area of the website.

We have a number of uniformed groups which meet in our churches. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet at St James; Rainbows and Brownies meet at St Gabriel’s; Brownies and Church Lads and Church Girls Brigades meet at St Peter’s.
