Activities and Groups at St James

  • Mothers Union

    Mothers Union meet for fellowship, prayer as well as welcoming visiting speakers

    Time: 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm
    Location: St James Church

  • 3rd Ashton Scout Group

    Scouts are aged ten to fourteen years old and take part in a range of fun, informative and challenging activities. All activities are themed toward individual badges. From time to time the Scouts enjoy camping and trips to various locations.

    Time: Tuesday 7:30pm to 9pm

  • Christian Study Group

    We have a study group takes place at the church. A light lunch is served followed by the opportunity to learn about and grow in our Christian faith.  This takes place for blocks of 4-6 weeks, two or three times a year.

  • Art Classes

    The WEA (Workers Educational Association) hold art classes at St James on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

    Time: Mornings and afternons, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  • Beavers at St James

    Our Beaver group is for boys and girls aged six to eight years old. Beavers take part in a range of fun, informative and challenging activities.

    Time: Monday 6:15pm - 7:30pm

  • 3rd Ashton Cub Scouts

    Cub Scouts are aged eight to ten years old and take part in a range of fun, informative and challenging activities. All activities are themed toward individual badges. From time to time the Scouts enjoy camping and other trips.

    Time: Tuesday 6:30pm - 8pm

  • Rainbows at St James

    Rainbows are aged between 5 years and 7 years and take part in a range of fun, informative and challenging activities as well as regular trips out.

    Time: Saturday 11:00am - 12 Midday

  • Brownies at St James

    Brownies are aged between 7 years and 10 years and take part in a range of fun, informative and challenging activities as well as trips out.

    Time: Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 8pm.
