More About the The Parish of the Good Shepherd

The Parish of the Good Shepherd was legally formed on 2nd April 2008 and was inaugurated formally at a service on Sunday 29th June 2008.  It is formed from the previously separate parishes of St Peter’s, Ashton-under-Lyne and the Team Parish of Ashton.  We are in the Ashton Deanery of the Diocese of Manchester.  All of our churches are registered as fairtrade churches by the Diocese of Manchester.  We have made a commitment to serving only fairtrade tea and coffee and to finding out about and promoting trade justice.
